Please Help
Sweet, adorable Sydney came to us as an 8-week old puppy. Her foster mom noticed a lump on Sydney's back leg; x-rays showed that somehow she had broken her leg in the few weeks she's been alive, and it was now healing improperly with the bone jutting out. She had surgery to repair it on July 17th, and everything went very well! As you can see, she is now sporting a very stylish cast! Sydney is feeling great and healing well, and she has a loving forever home already lined up that will adopt her after her six weeks of recovery time in her foster home is up.
All Dog Rescue is committed to providing all necessary vet care for the dogs in our program, treating them as we would our own. In the last four months we have had several expensive surgeries, including:
- Amputating Levi’s ear when it was discovered that the one-year-old baby had a malignant lesion
- Amputating Benny’s tail when it was discovered that someone had wrapped a rubber band around it, which had become embedded and caused the tail to atrophy
- Surgically repairing a hernia on Callie
- Nelson's complicated neuter, which required the surgeon to go through his abdomen
- Multiple dental cleanings and extractions, including one on poor Molly, whose former owners had allowed her teeth to become so rotted that she had to have 12 removed and may lose 9 more
All of these dogs have recovered wonderfully and have either already found their forever homes or soon will, and all are expected to live full, happy, and healthy lives. However, even with the generous discounts we receive from our wonderful vet partners, surgeries like these are expensive and drain financial resources quickly. Please consider making a donation to All Dog Rescue so that we can continue to provide for special needs dogs like these.
