Sam - Adopted November, 2007

Sam's mom sent an update on how Sam is doing:

Sam is doing wonderfully. He gained some weight (vet's recommendation), so he lost that skinny look. He loves ALL children. We have neighbor-kids coming to our door now asking to play with Sam. Works for me, they usually give him a good workout ;)

He loves going to the dog-park, he gets all excited when we turn into that street where the park is. He also finished Basic Obedience, not with flying colors, but we passed :) We're going to an open class every Tuesday morning now. I haven't figured out yet, if he likes it or not. He seems to be excited when we're arriving but during class he acts a little timid at times.

For spring-break he had to go to a pet-hotel, while we were on vacation in Hawaii. He goes to "K9to5 and Beyond "in Farmington. I was worried that he would be sad, but he seemed to enjoy his time there. He is probably used to living at different places. But he was very happy to see me when I came to pick him up.

He is just such a good boy and we love him a lot!!

Sam's original Happy Ending story is below:

Sam's new mom sent in an update on his first day in his new home:

Thank you for letting us adopt Sam. He is such a sweet boy. He is settling in great. He immediately took a tour of the yard and house yesterday :) We took a long walk and also played with a tennis ball in the back yard. After that he was ready to snooze on the couch. He slept on his pillow all night and then came in bed this morning for some snuggle time. This morning around 11 am he made it pretty clear it was time to go for a walk ;) I had to get dressed and take him. He loves walks! The boys love him, he "hangs" with them playing video games :-) It's almost like he's been here for a while, not just a day. We LOVE him!!

He found his way in our hearts AND on the sofa ;)

Taking a deserved snooze after walking and playing ball.

Sam thinks, "Cool video games, do you have one for dogs??"

This morning :)
