All Dog Rescue
- Finding Life-Long Homes for Rescued Dogs -
Luna (blue collar) with her new canine family.
This is a very special happy ending story for a very special dog.
Luna was a stay that came to All Dog Rescue from impound - her
foster was very excited to help out this young pit bull with the beautiful smile
and sweet personality.
Unfortunately, Luna's vet exam resulted in very bad news - this sweet,
lovable, girl had a heart murmur. An ultrasound exam determined that it
was a level 4 murmur - a devastating diagnosis in such a young, seemingly-healthy
dog. Given her breed and the severity of her health issue, Luna's chances of being
adopted plummeted.
However, a good friend of All Dog Rescue heard of Luna's plight, and contacted us
about adopting her. Luna's wonderful new mom already had three very nice rescued
dogs, and decided there was room in her heart and home for this very special girl.
Luna's new mom reports that Luna is settling into her new home just fine! She has
made friends with her new canine siblings, and has picked a best friend
already. She has gotten to go rollerblading with her new mom; while she is not able
to go as far as a most young pits whould be able to, she still got to enjoy some fun
play time like all babies should.
So little Luna - who was looking like luck was just not going to turn her way - has
found her way to a loving home with a new mom who has this to say about her
sweet new friend: "What a nice and easy dog. I am excited to share the rest of her time
with her. Thank you so much for all that you did for her. Please know that she
will be living a full and interesting life."
